Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh. Our team will receive you and transfer you to your hotel. This is a mandatory rest day for altitude acclimatization — avoid strenuous activity, stay hydrated, and let your body adjust to the thin mountain air at 3,500m.
Evening: Brief orientation session with your route leader. Meet your fellow riders, collect your Royal Enfield, and do a quick safety & gear check.
Second acclimatization day with gentle local sightseeing. Visit the iconic Shanti Stupa offering panoramic views of Leh valley, the historic 17th-century Leh Palace, Hall of Fame museum dedicated to Indian soldiers, and the famous Magnetic Hill phenomenon.
Optional: Sangam point where the Indus and Zanskar rivers merge — a stunning natural confluence.
The ride everyone talks about. Cross the legendary Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft / 5,602m) — once claimed as the world's highest motorable road — before descending into the dramatic Shyok Valley and onwards to the lush Nubra Valley. Total distance: approximately 120 km.
Arrive at Hunder/Diskit by evening. Check in to your camp or guesthouse and enjoy the stark beauty of the valley surrounded by sand dunes and snow-capped peaks.
Explore Nubra Valley at leisure. Visit the 350-year-old Diskit Monastery perched dramatically on a hilltop, offering views of the valley. See the magnificent 32-meter Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking Hunder village.
Head to the Hunder Sand Dunes — a surreal desert landscape amid the Himalayas. Optional camel safari on the rare double-humped Bactrian camels native to Central Asia. Evening campfire under a star-studded Himalayan sky.
One of the most scenic rides of the expedition — follow the Shyok River through a dramatic high-altitude desert landscape to reach the world-famous Pangong Tso (Lake). The colour of the lake changes from deep blue to turquoise as you approach.
Arrive by late afternoon for the legendary golden-hour views. Set up camp on the lake shore and watch the sun dip behind the mountains — an experience that stays with you forever.
Wake up to one of the most spectacular sunrises on Earth as the first light paints Pangong Lake in shades of gold and pink. Spend the morning exploring the lake shores, take photographs, and soak in the unreal beauty of this high-altitude lake.
Afternoon ride over Chang La Pass (4,350m), the third highest motorable pass in the world, before returning to Leh via Durbuk and Tangtse. Farewell dinner with the group.
After breakfast, return your Royal Enfield and receive your ride certificate. Our team will transfer you to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your onward journey. Trip ends with memories, friendships, and stories that will last a lifetime.
